In many places, there are limited options for a person to go out and relax after a hard week at work, or even a hard day. A PCB designer gets off on a Friday afternoon, and has to choose between about two clubs worth going to that night. As far as any more progressive entertainment, forget about it. Most cities have very little to offer in the way of night life.
Well, that is certainly not true in the case of Nashville. As you would expect, this city is as well known for its night life as it is for its music scene. There are dozens of different things to do and places to go once the lights come on all over the city, and most of them involve music. It is the perfect place to really forget that you operate a slurry mixer all day long and just go out and have fun.
The most popular thing to do in Nashville is to go out and enjoy some of the many live music offerings which happen all over the city. Because of its central importance in the country music industry, you will find a lot of country and western style clubs in the downtown area. Most notably, the area called the District is a place where you can find great country music every night. From Garth Brooks to the Canadian trade mark sound of Shania Twain, you will be able to see big stars live at many of these venues on a regular basis.
Don't worry, if country music and dancing isn't your thing, Nashville does offer some alternatives. Clubs like Fuel and Elliston Rock Block can quickly kick you out of country mode and into the rock and alternative scenes. Like many of the honky tonk bars, these clubs feature artists who are very good, but who have not yet achieved record deals. They play all the better since they are trying to get noticed by record companies before they go back to working with Bahco tools for good!
Nashville has a lot to offer in terms of tamer night life as well. If you are thinking about honeymooning here after your wedding rental in Hamilton has been paid for and returned, you might want to check out the cultural offerings the night offers. There are symphonies and operas, guaranteed to suit the tastes of a more refined crowd.
